Corpul YHR-872ND este realizat din nichel-argintat.

Nichelul-argintat este rezistent la coroziune, mai dur decât alama galbenă și este capabil să ofere ton bogat, colorat, cu răspuns remarcabil în timpul interpretării. Instrumentul răspunde direct la fiecare nuanță pentru expresivitate vibrantă și nerestricționată.

Tuburile exterioare și interioare al glisierei de reglare sunt realizate din nichel argintat care are o compoziție diferită de nichelul-argintat folosit pentru pâlnie și corpul principal. Materialul folosit la glisoarele tuning include un procent mai mare de metal dur și durabil pentru un răspuns îmbunătățit.

One-piece machined mouthpiece receiver

În comparație cu o construcție convenționala pentru muștiuc, din două piese, suportul separat și un tub de întărire, muștiucul YHR-872ND este prelucrat dintr-o singură bucată , realizând o transmitere mai bună a sunetului și un răspuns semnificativ îmbunătățit.

Corpul principal al renumitului model Yamaha YHR-862 Custom Horn, considerat pe scară largă a fi o capodoperă în designul cornului, a fost folosit ca bază pentru designul rafinat al leadpipe-ului YHR-872ND, inclusiv pozițiile relative ale mâinii stângi și mușticului. Rezultatul este un corn care oferă o interpretare mai confortabilă în orice poziție, chiar și atunci când pâlnia este sprijinită în poala instrumentistului.

YHR-872ND folosește tuburi profilate pentru rezistență optimă în timpul interpretării.

În cazul YHR-672 se folosește un singur braț în tubul F, iar la YHR-872ND regasim doua brațe cu efect de îmbunătățire a răspunsului pentru instrumentiștii avansați. Designul brațului dual ajută la menținerea tonului bogat și puternic chiar și atunci când interpretați în forță.

Senzația optimă de redare a fost obținută realizând alezajul principal al glisierei tuning puțin mai mare (12,1 mm diametru) decât celelalte glisiere (12,0 mm diametru).

Rotary valve caps

Rotary valve caps au un design gravat atractiv care se adaugă la aspectul și senzația sofisticată, de înaltă calitate a instrumentului.

Suprafața din spate a capacelor supapelor rotative are o protuberanță în formă de inel care îmbunătățește transmiterea sunetului pentru o redare mai liberă.

Capacele interioare ale supapelor din aliaj bronz fosfor

Supapele rotative ale cornului au capace interioare din bronz fosfor pentru o durabilitate sporită. Rotoarele supapelor sunt realizate din alamă.

A patra pârghie reglabilă cu cursă scurtă, Cârlig reglabil pentru deget

YHR-872ND dispune de o a patra pârghie reglabilă cu cursă scurtă. Comutarea lină între părțile F și Bb permite instrumentistului să se concentreze mai mult pe performanță.

Ca și la alte modele custom, un cârlig reglabil pentru deget poate fi adăugat pentru confort și control optim în timpul interpretării.

Profile: Mark Almond is the principal horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and was formerly associate principal of the San Francisco Symphony, principal of the San Francisco Opera orchestra and third horn of the Philharmonia Orchestra, London. He has played guest principal with the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestras amongst others and can be heard on numerous movie soundtracks. He is professor of horn at Roosevelt University, Chicago and visiting professor of horn at the Royal Academy of Music London. Prior to moving to the United States Mark worked as a hospital physician specializing in pulmonology and he holds a PhD in immunology/virology.

Profile: A native of Las Vegas, NV, Chris Castellanos has enjoyed prosperous and eclectic musical career. Upon joining the Las Vegas Philharmonic at the age of 19, Chris quickly established himself as a top call freelancer on the Las Vegas Strip, backing countless headliners - most notably: Placido Domingo, Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra Jr., Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Peter Cetera, Weird Al Yankovic, Kenny G, Yes, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Ricky Martin, Seth MacFarlane, Journey (Greatest hits live album and DVD), David Foster (“Hit Man” live album and DVD) and frequent tours with Andrea Bocelli. Additionally, Chris played more than 1700 shows over a 6-year run of Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular, as well as frequent playing in the pits for Spamalot and The Lion King.

In late 2003, Chris found his passion as a chamber musician after joining the Dallas Brass for a 6-year tenure touring the U.S. and abroad. In 2009 Chris left the Dallas Brass to join the prestigious Boston Brass as Hornist, Arranger and Co-Owner of the group, with whom he presently tours the world over 180 days per year. In addition to his duties with the Boston Brass, Chris is a very active soloist and is dedicated to the constant promotion of new, unique music for the horn.

Passionate about music education, Chris serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Horn at his alma mater, the UNLV School of Music. As an international educator, Chris has covered every state in the US as well over 40 countries, having given clinics and masterclasses at nearly 200 Colleges, Universities and Conservatories, including The Juilliard School, Eastman School of Music, The Sibelius Academy (Finland), The Bruckner Academy of Music (Austria), Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Royal Academy of Music (London), The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and many more. Additionally, Chris, serves as Visiting Ensemble-in-Residence (Boston Brass) at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in Singapore as well as on the International Artist Advisory Council for Mahidol University's College of Music in Thailand.

Chris has been a Performing and Educational Artist for the Yamaha Music Corporation since 2015, giving clinics, concerts and masterclasses worldwide. He currently resides in Utah where he enjoys spending his time with his wife Tina, who also enjoys a bustling music career as Principal Flute of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and Assistant Professor of Flute at BYU (Provo, Utah) and their two children Lily and Orion.
