NAMM House Sessions
Each January, more than 100,000 artists, manufacturers, press and music fans flock to Anaheim, CA for The NAMM Show – the world’s largest trade event for the music products industry. It’s an exciting week to discover new products, experience cool performances and catch up with industry friends, but it can also be loud and hectic! With that in mind, we created the NAMM House Sessions.
Seeking some chill time outside of the chaos of the Anaheim Convention Center, we decided to set up camp a short drive away from NAMM where we could invite some of our European artists to hang out and perform some relaxing sessions in the sunshine by the pool.
We filled the suburban house with some of our newest gear, including a CSF series acoustic guitar, a TRBX604 bass guitar, a black Revstar RS502 electric guitar and a Line 6 HX Effects pedal – accompanied by some older favorites – and let the guys do their thing.
First up, from France we welcomed Yamaha artist Hyleen to perform some laid-back tunes on her Pacifica 1611MS electric guitar through a THR10 desktop guitar amplifier, with the Line 6 HX Effects pedal for processing. Hyleen was accompanied by drummer Nicolas Viccaro on a DTX-MULTI 12 electronic percussion pad and keyboard player Julien Boursin on a retro CS01 analog synthesizer.
Next, Line 6’s own Paul Hindmarsh delved deeper into HX Effects and demonstrated some of its features while playing a new black Revstar RS502T guitar through a THR100H modeling amplifier and THRC112 speaker cabinet.
Barcelona-based master of bass Miki Santamaria also dropped by to check out HX Effects with a sunburst BBP35 bass guitar, proving that this new multi-effects pedal isn’t just for guitarists.
After the sun went down, we finally moved inside as Italian artists Marco Filippini, Max Zaccaro, Alex Polifrone and Andrea Pollione performed a set they composed especially for the occasion, using a CSF acoustic guitar, TRBX604 bass, DTX-M12 percussion pad and Reface CP portable keyboard.
